NorthRidgeNet: NorthRidge Church in Plymouth, Michigan
NorthRidge Church in Plymouth, Michigan gives spiritual guidance to people from all
over the Detroit Michigan metropolitan area. It is a flourishing focus for the
community with thousands attending services and special events each week. They need to communicate
both internally and to the public through an easy-to-use medium. Individuals with limited Internet
skills publish the weekly changing content. Baarns Consulting was engaged to facilitate their new site.

AppleOne
As one of the world's largest privately held employment services, AppleOne has over 50,000 clients,
with millions of career results to date. Due to the volume of their corporate clientele,
AppleOne fills thousands of positions on any given day. This enables them to offer Temporary,
Direct-Hire, Temp-To-Hire and Project staffing opportunities that are rich and diverse across the US
and Canada.
Baarns designed, configures and manages the www.AppleOne.com web server farm. The high volume front-end servers processed 1.26 million page views per week (over 5 million pages processed per month!) as of June 2002. The backend SQL Server databases contain over 7 Gigabytes of data, all input via browser interfaces we developed. The database servers were installed, configured and managed by Baarns, including the table designs and over 500 stored procedures. AppleOne manages the static content on the site, including the graphics/look and feel and Baarns developed the database driven applications. Watching these servers grow to multiple gigabytes of data from the ground up has greatly extended our real-world experience and expertise.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
LACMA invests over $50 million per year in art acquisitions. They developed their site internally but
Baarns Consulting built, hosts and manages the online membership site for www.lacma.org.
We created their Membership Wizard which has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in totally automated

Visited by thousands of Microsoft Office users every month, archive.baarns.com is home
to the Office Resource Center for which Baarns is known. This site originally built in 1997
uses a wealth of technologies that were cutting-edge at the time and are still relevant tools
today. With hundreds of Active Server Pages, this site was chosen as Microsoft's first SiteBuilder
Site-of-the-Month.
